Role Overview
The Management Trainee (Finance & Accounts) will support the Finance team in preparing MIS reports, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring accurate data management for decision-making. The role offers exposure to financial planning, budgeting, variance analysis, project cost monitoring, and business performance evaluation specific to the real estate sector.
MIS & Reporting
Assist in preparing periodic MIS reports (daily/weekly/monthly) covering revenue, costs, collections, receivables, payables, and cash flow.
Support project-wise reporting for real estate developments including sales, costs, construction progress, and profitability.
Consolidate data from different departments for management review.
Financial Analysis
Conduct variance analysis of budget vs. actual performance.
Assist in preparing financial models and sensitivity analysis for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Track key financial metrics such as ROI, IRR, payback period, and margins for projects.
Support benchmarking and competitor analysis.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Participate in annual budgeting exercise and rolling forecasts.
Assist in monitoring cash flows and project funding requirements.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of data in reports.
Assist the finance team in adhering to internal controls and compliance requirements.
Ad-hoc Analysis
Prepare presentations and dashboards for management.
Support strategic initiatives such as fund-raising, investor reporting, and board reviews.
Education:
MBA (Finance) / CA (Inter) / M.Com / Equivalent qualification.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros preferred) and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with ERP/accounting software (Tally).
Understanding of financial modeling and analysis tools.
Soft Skills:
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Proactive and eager to learn the nuances of real estate finance.
Exposure to end-to-end financial management of large-scale real estate projects.
Grooming into roles such as Financial Analyst, MIS Specialist, or Project Finance Manager within 2–3 years.
