Manager - Corporate Communication

JOB PURPOSE

To support the CMD's Office in executing high-quality corporate communications for the Chairman & Managing Director, with a strong focus on building and managing the CMD's social media and digital presence. The role works closely with the AGM – Corporate Communication to ensure consistent, high-impact messaging across the CMD's public engagements, media interactions, and digital platforms, while extending support to allied brand and corporate initiatives as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

▸ CMD Office Communications

• Draft speeches, talking points, messages, op-eds, and thought-leadership content for the CMD for conferences, panels, media interactions, and industry forums, under the guidance of the AGM – Corporate Communication.


• Prepare briefing notes, Q&A documents, and background material ahead of the CMD's media interactions, investor meets, and public appearances.


• Support management of the CMD's public engagement calendar — speaking opportunities, award nominations, panel invitations, and industry body engagements (CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, renewable energy associations, etc.).


• Coordinate interviews, media features, and byline placements for the CMD; track and report media coverage of the CMD and the company.


• Maintain trackers, calendars, and documentation for CMD Office communication workstreams with accuracy and timeliness.

▸ CMD Social Media & Digital Presence

• Build, manage, and grow the CMD's presence across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, blogs, and other relevant digital platforms, in line with his thought-leadership positioning in the renewable energy and solar manufacturing space.


• Develop and execute a structured content calendar for the CMD's social media — posts, milestone announcements, event coverage, and engagement-led content.


• Draft platform-appropriate copy and coordinate with design/creative agencies for visual assets, ensuring quality and brand consistency.


• Monitor engagement analytics, benchmark against industry leaders, and share periodic performance reports with actionable insights.


• Track industry conversations, trending themes, and peer leadership activity to identify timely content opportunities for the CMD.

▸ Extended Support

• Extend support to branding, marketing, and corporate affairs initiatives from time to time, as directed by the CMD's Office.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Postgraduate degree/MBA in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field.


• 5–7 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, PR, or digital/social media management, preferably with exposure to leadership or CXO-level communications.


• Demonstrated experience in managing social media presence for senior leaders, founders, or corporate brands is highly desirable.


• Experience in manufacturing, energy, renewables, or infrastructure sectors preferred.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English essential; Hindi/Bengali an advantage).


• Strong copywriting and editorial skills across formats — speeches, briefing notes, social media posts, and articles.


• Hands-on command of LinkedIn, X, and Instagram, including analytics, scheduling tools, and platform best practices.


• Working knowledge of the solar/renewable energy industry and manufacturing landscape, or the ability to build it quickly.


• High discretion, professionalism, and ability to work closely with senior leadership.


• Strong coordination skills with agencies, designers, and cross-functional teams; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines with a CMD-office pace of work.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Willingness to travel as required for the CMD's engagements and key events.


• High level of confidentiality and judgment in handling sensitive leadership communications.
