Manager Reinsurance Accounting

• Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance accounting principles


• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills

• Record and reconcile reinsurance premium transactions, commissions, and adjustments.


• Process and monitor claims recoverable from reinsurers and ensure timely settlements.


• Prepare and review reinsurance bordereaux, statements of accounts, and balances with reinsurers and brokers.


• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities related to reinsurance accounting.


• Reconcile reinsurance balances with underwriting systems and general ledger accounts.


• Coordinate with underwriting, claims, actuarial, and finance teams to ensure accuracy of data and transactions.


• Support financial reporting, regulatory filings, and audits related to reinsurance activities.


• Monitor outstanding balances and aging with reinsurers and brokers and follow up for settlement.


• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory guidelines, and internal controls.
