Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and
visionary R&D Manager to lead our research and development initiatives. The
successful candidate will oversee the spearhead the development of new ceramic
products (including glazes, bodies, and finishes), and optimize production
processes in collaboration with the Kiln, Glaze Line, and Quality Control
departments. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between
innovative design and efficient manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• New Product Development: Lead the conceptualization and development of new tile and
  mosaic products, staying ahead of market trends, aesthetic demands, and
  technical requirements.
  
• Material Research: Oversee the formulation and testing of raw materials, body
  compositions, engobes, and glazing materials to improve product
  durability, finish, and cost-efficiency.
  
• Process Optimization: Partner with the Kiln, Glaze Line, and Press departments to
  troubleshoot production challenges, refine firing curves, and maximize
  yield quality.
  
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the technical link between Production, Operations,
  and Quality Control. Ensure that R&D innovations are effectively
  integrated into large-scale factory workflows.
  
• Quality Assurance Alignment: Work closely with the Quality Control department to analyze
  defect trends and proactively develop technical solutions to maintain
  high-quality standards.
  
• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide laboratory staff, assistant managers, and
  ceramic designers to foster a culture of technical excellence and
  continuous improvement.
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s
  or Master’s degree in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical
  Engineering, or a related field.
  
• Experience: 10+
  years of experience in ceramic tile manufacturing, with a proven track
  record in R&D or technical process engineering.
  
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of ceramic technology, glaze chemistry, kiln
  firing cycles, and pressing technologies.
  
• Analytical Abilities: Proficiency in analyzing production data to drive process
  improvements.
  
• Leadership: Strong
  project management and team leadership skills, with the ability to
  navigate a fast-paced factory environment.
  

Working Environment

The R&D Manager will operate
primarily from our factory facilities, maintaining close proximity to our
production lines. This role requires daily coordination with the Heads of
Production, and Quality Control to ensure seamless technical execution.
