JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Assistant Manager – Fundraising
Function: Resource Mobilisation
Location: New Delhi HQ
Reporting To: DGM – Resource Mobilisation
Grade: Assistant Manager
Employment Type: Full -time
Position Objective
To support and execute fundraising initiatives for Cankids by achieving monthly fundraising
targets, strengthening donor relationships, acquiring new donors, and supporting events
and engagement activities to ensure sustainable funding for children battling cancer.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Revenue Generation
ï· Achieve assigned fundraising targets on a month -on -month basis as defined by the
Resource Mobilisation team.
ï· Support fundraising efforts across individual donors, events, and other identified
funding avenues.
ï· Identify new fundraising opportunities and contribute to revenue growth for the
organisation.
ï· Track fundraising performance and submit regular reports to the reporting manager.
Donor Relationship Management
ï· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective donors.
ï· Conduct face -to -face meetings with donors to present Cankids’ mission,
programmes, impact, and funding requirements.
ï· Ensure timely donor follow -ups, acknowledgements, and engagement to strengthen
donor retention.
Donor Acquisition & Events
ï· Identify, engage, and onboard new donors through meetings, referrals, networking,
and outreach activities.
ï· Plan, coordinate, and support fundraising events, donor meets, and engagement
programmes aimed at expanding the donor base.
ï· Assist in campaign execution to attract and retain donors.
Coordination & Reporting
ï· Coordinate with internal teams (Programmes, Finance, Communications) to ensure
accurate donor communication and reporting.
ï· Maintain donor records, meeting details, and fundraising data in CRM or internal
tracking systems.
ï· Support preparation of donor proposals, presentations, utilisation certificates, and
impact reports as required.
Key Deliverables / Performance Indicators
ï· Monthly fundraising target achievement
ï· Number of donor meetings conducted
ï· Number of new donors acquired
ï· Donor retention and repeat contributions
ï· Successful execution of fundraising events and engagement activities
Educational Qualifications
ï· Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline
ï· Preference for candidates with background in Management, Marketing, Sales, or
Social Work
Experience
ï· 5–7 years of experience in fundraising, sales, business development, or relationship
management
ï· Experience in the NGO / social sector will be an added advantage

ï· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
ï· Ability to build and manage donor relationships
ï· Target -oriented and result -driven approach
ï· Good presentation and negotiation skills
ï· Willingness to travel and engage in field -based work
