Material Productivity / Costing Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail -oriented and analytical Material Productivity / Costing Engineer to oversee cost control, material productivity, and financial accuracy for Prefab operations. The role is critical in ensuring cost efficiency, variance analysis, and alignment between operational data and financial reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly financial closing activities for Prefab operations and ensure timely completion.
  
• Validate material consumption, manufacturing variances, scrap levels, and inventory adjustments.
  
• Ensure accurate cost posting in ERP systems and alignment with financial reporting standards.
  
• Analyze material costs, BOM (Bill of Materials) deviations, project margins, and operational cost variances.
  
• Identify key cost drivers impacting production efficiency and profitability.
  
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Production, and Operations teams to implement corrective actions.
  
• Monitor cost reduction initiatives and support continuous improvement programs.
  
• Prepare detailed cost analysis reports, dashboards, and MIS for factory leadership.
  
• Support internal and external audits related to cost accounting and inventory control.
  
• Ensure adherence to standard costing procedures and company financial policies.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  
• Experience in Costing, Material Control, Production Planning, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
  
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / equivalent preferred).
  
• Strong understanding of manufacturing costing, BOM structure, and inventory control.
