Mechanical Design Engineer - Mobile Robotics

• Lead the design and development of innovative mechanical systems from concept to production.
  
• Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation using SolidWorks.
  
• Conduct feasibility studies, design reviews, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, testing, and
  validation activities.
  
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, software, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure successful
  product assembly and functionality.
  
• Optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
  
• Manage multiple projects, support production activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Strong analytical, problem -solving, and communication skills.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  
• 3 -7 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
  
• Expert proficiency in SolidWorks.
  
• Strong expertise in GD&T, tolerances, fits, and tolerance stack -up analysis.
  
• Experience with DFMEA, DFM, and DFA methodologies.
  
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, welding, and fabrication.
  
• Experience in prototyping, testing, and product validation.
  
• Ability to create detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
  
• Strong analytical, problem -solving, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively in cross -functional teams.
  
• Experience in robotics, automation, AMRs, AGVs, or industrial equipment is preferred.
