Job Description - Microbiologist

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Microbiologist to join our hospital team, where you will play a pivotal role in bridging clinical diagnostics with academic education. This position is designed for a professional who can effectively manage laboratory operations while simultaneously mentoring the next generation of healthcare practitioners. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy and quality control while delivering engaging theoretical and practical instruction to undergraduate students.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver comprehensive theoretical lectures and hands-on practical training sessions for undergraduate students in microbiology.
Supervise and manage daily diagnostic microbiology services to ensure timely and accurate results for patient care.
Implement and monitor rigorous quality control protocols across all laboratory procedures to maintain compliance with hospital standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to students and junior staff regarding laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
Collaborate with the medical team to interpret complex microbiological data and support clinical decision-making.

Requirements

Possess a minimum of one year of relevant work experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
Demonstrate strong proficiency in delivering educational content, including both lecture-based and practical training formats.
Have proven expertise in overseeing diagnostic microbiology workflows and maintaining strict quality control measures.
Hold a relevant degree in Microbiology or a related life science field.
Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both students and medical professionals.
