Microsoft Alliance Lead

Job Description - Microsoft Alliance Lead

About the role

Genzeon has established a dedicated Microsoft Practice and is investing in deepening its strategic partnership with Microsoft. We are
seeking an Associate Director of Microsoft Alliance & Partnerships to own and grow the alliance end to end.

The Alliance Associate Director is responsible for
maximizing the value of Genzeon's relationship with Microsoft — driving joint
go-to-market and co-sell, achieving and maintaining Microsoft Designations and
Specializations, growing Azure consumption, managing the full operational backbone
of the partnership (Partner Center, incentives, tagging, referrals), and
building Genzeon's presence on the Microsoft commercial marketplace. Success is
measured in partnership status, co-sell pipeline and wins, ACR growth, and the
investments and incentives unlocked from Microsoft.

Key responsibilities

Go-to-market & co-sell

  • Define
and drive joint go-to-market (GTM) initiatives with Microsoft,
aligning Genzeon's offerings to Microsoft's priorities and solution areas.
  • Own
the co-sell motion end to end — build and maintain the co-sell
solution portfolio, register co-sell-ready offers, manage IP-co-sell and
services co-sell, and drive deal referrals in both directions with
    Microsoft sellers.
  • Partner
with internal account teams to help close deals by connecting them
with the right Microsoft sellers and orchestrating joint pursuit activities
    including Account planning sessions.

Designations, Specializations & ACR

  • Own
the roadmap to achieve and maintain Microsoft Solutions Partner
    Designations and Specializations
    , managing partner points,
    performance, skilling, and audit readiness.
  • Drive
    Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR) growth
    across customers and engagements,
tracking consumption and partnering with practice teams to accelerate it.

Relationship management

  • Build
and manage relationships with key Microsoft stakeholders, including
the Partner Development Manager (PDM), co-sell/partner sales teams,
and relevant business-group and field contacts.
  • Develop
and maintain the annual partner business plan with Microsoft and
run a regular partnership cadence and business reviews.

Partnership operations & incentives

  • Manage
all partner tagging and attributionPAL (Partner Admin Link),
CPOR (Claiming Partner of Record), and DPOR (Digital Partner of Record)
    — to ensure Genzeon is correctly credited for influence and consumption.
  • Own Partner
    Center
and Supplier/partner portal administration and hygiene
    (memberships, users, competencies, compliance).
  • Track
and maximize Microsoft incentives, investments, and funding
ensuring Genzeon is tapping every available program (incentives/rebates,
    MDF/co-op marketing funds, activity-based and consumption-based
investments, ECIF and similar deployment/POC funds).
  • Manage deal referrals, referral pipeline hygiene, and reporting.

Marketplace

  • Prepare
and own the Microsoft commercial marketplace solutions roadmap,
working with internal practice teams to identify and shape offers.
  • Own publishing
of offers on the Microsoft marketplace
    , including professional
services offers and SaaS transactable offers
    , and manage their
lifecycle, private offers, and go-to-market on marketplace.

Enablement & reporting

  • Enable
internal sales and account teams on how to engage Microsoft, use
    co-sell, and leverage partnership benefits.
  • Maintain
a partnership scorecard and report on alliance KPIs — co-sell
pipeline and wins, ACR, designation/specialization status, incentives
earned, and marketplace performance — to Genzeon leadership.
  • Ensure
ongoing compliance with the Microsoft Partner Agreement and program
    requirements.

Requirements

Required skills and experience

  • 10–15
    years
overall, with 5+ years in a Microsoft alliance / partner
    development / partnerships role
at a Microsoft partner or ISV.
  • Deep,
hands-on knowledge of the Microsoft partner ecosystem: Solutions
Partner designations, Specializations, co-sell, and the
    incentives/investment landscape.
  • Proven,
practical experience with Partner Center, partner tagging (PAL,
    CPOR, DPOR)
, and the Microsoft commercial marketplace (publishing professional services and SaaS transactable offers).
  • Demonstrated
track record driving ACR / Azure consumption growth and co-sell
    pipeline and wins
    .
  • Strong relationship management skills with a network of, or proven ability
to build relationships with, Microsoft field, partner, and PDM contacts.
  • Commercial
and analytical acumen — able to track incentives, model partnership ROI,
    and report to leadership.
  • Excellent
    communication, cross-functional orchestration, and stakeholder-management
    skills.

Highly desirable

  • Existing
relationships within Microsoft's partner and field organization.
  • Experience
taking co-sell-ready and marketplace offers to market, including
    transactable SaaS.
  • Familiarity
with Azure, Azure AI, and ideally healthcare.
  • Experience
supporting Specialization audits and designation attainment.
