Job Description - Nephrologist

Summary: 
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Nephrologist to join our Nephrology Department as a Full -Time physician. In this critical role, you will provide expert clinical care to patients with complex renal conditions, including Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), and those on Hemodialysis or Peritoneal Dialysis. You will play a key role in improving patient outcomes through accurate diagnosis, effective treatment planning, and comprehensive management of electrolyte imbalances, acid -base disorders, hypertension, and glomerular diseases. Your expertise in renal biopsies, kidney transplant care, and interpretation of renal imaging will be vital in delivering high -quality, patient -centered care. This position is essential to advancing our department’s clinical excellence and supporting the organization’s mission of delivering exceptional nephrology services.

Responsibilities: 
- Diagnose and manage patients with CKD, AKI, and other renal disorders with precision and compassion 
- Perform and interpret renal biopsies, ensuring accurate histopathological assessment and clinical correlation 
- Manage patients on hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, including protocol adherence and complication prevention 
- Evaluate and treat electrolyte imbalances, acid -base disorders, and hypertension with evidence -based strategies 
- Provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing kidney transplantation, including pre - and post -transplant management 
- Interpret renal imaging studies and collaborate with radiology and other specialties for optimal patient care 
- Maintain detailed, accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards 
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans and improve clinical outcomes 
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities as appropriate 

Requirements: 
- MBBS degree with DM/DNB in Nephrology or equivalent recognized qualification 
- Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (or relevant national medical council) 
- Proven experience in managing CKD, AKI, and dialysis -dependent patients 
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing and interpreting renal biopsies 
- Experience in managing glomerular diseases, hypertension, and metabolic acid -base disorders 
- Familiarity with kidney transplant care and post -transplant monitoring protocols 
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to patient -centered care 
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams 
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team in a fast -paced environment
