CORDS Transformation Role: Executive Director - CORDS Transformation Accelerator & Lead for India

Client Onboarding and Regulatory Services (CORDS) is a global group with offices in New York, Baltimore, London, Glasgow, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Bangalore. The group partners closely with Business, Legal and Compliance Division, Risk Management and Technology to assist the Firm in complying with regulatory obligations that involve client data, documentation and reporting requirements.

Background On the Role:

The Transformation team within CORDS owns the strategic change agenda spanning all operations teams in the client lifecycle management process, including Onboarding, KYC Refresh, Market Regulations, Screening & Offboarding.
The team ensures the consistent and effective deployment of transformational initiatives through agile project management and UAT oversight activities and realization of benefits through tracking change impact.

A Transformation Strategic Lead role is a senior, strategic position focused on transforming operations into a more scalable, adaptable, automated customer-centric environment. They act as a bridge between high-level business strategy and strategic business change outcomes.
CORDS India Head of Transformation owns India's entire transformation delivery engine across KYC, CI, Data, Screening & CTB. They lead the 60+ India transformation footprint, own all delivery KPIs (capacity saves, automation, throughput, quality), have the real estate to work with the Global head of Change to reallocate squads across pillars, and act as the single delivery owner for the region.

Key Responsibilities
Global Transformation Accelerator

  • Accountable for delivery of multi year CORDS automation and capacity commitments through a global, silo based model.
  • Partner with global functional, data, and fleet leads to align transformation strategy, priorities, and execution.
  • Drive transformation of transformation, delivering capacity, headcount efficiency, and execution discipline across fleets.
  • Own CORDS global transformation governance and portfolio oversight.
  • Partner with strategy and governance leads to ensure accurate tracking and communication of transformation outcomes.
  • Work with the incubator to maintain a strong pipeline of scalable, enterprise ready initiatives.
  • Fleet & Delivery Leadership
  • Own and deliver large scale agile transformation and digitization programs.
  • Set and execute fleet roadmaps; track delivery, escalate risks, and ensure timely outcomes.
  • Establish consistent agile and change management standards across squads.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor Product Owners, Agile Practitioners, and Scrum Masters.
  • Oversee portfolio reporting, dashboards, and metrics to enable data driven senior decision making.
  • Manage cross squad risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
  • India Transformation Lead
  • Own end to end transformation delivery for India across CI, KYC, Data, Screening, and CTB.
  • Act as the single escalation point for India transformation risks and delivery issues.
  • Manage capacity allocation and squad deployment across pillars in partnership with global leadership.
  • Drive adoption of new horizontal change streams and operating model.
  • Build India's transformation talent pipeline, including officer readiness and upskilling.
  • Own Screening transformation delivery and squad execution.

Required Experience:

  • Significant (14+) experience in leading, planning, and managing large-scale transformation projects.
  • Proven track record in driving adoption of new processes within complex organizations.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and data governance in a matrix organization.
  • Knowledge and experience of working within a structured project management framework
  • Experience in Agile Scrum Development preferred
  • Have knowledge of testing life cycle
  • Some exposure or knowledge Client and Party Reference Data management and, including:
  • KYC (Know-your-Client) and AML processes, regulations and technology
  • Client Onboarding Workflow
  • Financial services regulatory environment, including but not limited to KYC, MIFID, EMIR, Dodd Frank and other regulations that impact traded markets and investment banking businesses.


Desired Skills/Traits

  • Ability to influence stakeholders, manage cross-functional teams, and explain complex concepts to non-specialists.
  • A strong, admired leadership approach, focusing on enabling teams rather than issuing instructions.
  • Advanced knowledge of change management applications (Jira, DevOps tools, EUC) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
