Job Description - Optometrist

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our Health Care team, where the primary objective is to deliver comprehensive eye care services and ensure optimal visual health for patients. This role is pivotal in conducting precise vision assessments, diagnosing ocular conditions, and providing essential counseling to guide patients toward better eye health outcomes. The position demands a professional who can effectively utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to perform detailed examinations, contributing significantly to the clinic's reputation for high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough vision screenings and refractive assessments using autorefractometers and retinoscopy techniques.
Perform detailed slit lamp examinations and utilize applanation tonometry to measure intraocular pressure.
Operate specialized imaging equipment, including fundus cameras and A-scans, to capture and analyze retinal and corneal data.
Execute keratometry and HVF (Humphrey Visual Field) tests to evaluate corneal curvature and visual field integrity.
Administer RT (Reaction Time) tests and utilize I care technology for efficient patient evaluation.
Provide expert counseling to patients regarding vision correction options, eye health maintenance, and treatment plans.
Interpret diagnostic results accurately to formulate appropriate management strategies.

Requirements

Possess 0-1 year of relevant work experience in the Health Care sector.
Demonstrate proficiency in vision testing and clinical assessment procedures.
Show hands-on expertise with key instruments such as the autorefractometer, slit lamp, applanation tonometer, fundus camera, and A-scan.
Be skilled in performing refraction, retinoscopy, keratometry, and HVF testing.
Exhibit strong counseling abilities to communicate complex eye health information clearly to patients.
Maintain a professional demeanor suitable for a clinical environment.
