Summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vision assessments and eye examinations using specialized equipment such as autorefractometers and slit lamps.
  
• Perform precise refraction and retinoscopy procedures to determine accurate corrective lens prescriptions.
  
• Execute applanation tonometry and fundus photography to monitor intraocular pressure and retinal health.
  
• Utilize A-Scan and keratometry techniques to gather essential biometric data for contact lens fitting and surgical planning.
  
• Administer and interpret Humphrey Visual Field (HVF) tests to detect and monitor visual field defects.
  
• Provide clear, empathetic counseling to patients regarding their diagnosis, treatment options, and vision care strategies.
  
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all clinical procedures adhere to established safety and hygiene protocols.
  

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 0 to 1 year of hands-on experience in an optometry or healthcare setting.
  
• Demonstrate proficiency with key instruments including autorefractometers, slit lamps, applanation tonometers, and fundus cameras.
  
• Show strong competence in clinical techniques such as refraction, retinoscopy, A-Scan, and keratometry.
  
• Have practical experience conducting HVF tests and RT tests for visual field analysis.
  
• Exhibit excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex eye conditions to patients effectively.
  
• Display a solid understanding of vision care principles and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient service.
  
• Hold relevant qualifications in optometry or a related field, with a focus on practical application of skills.
