Responsibilities
Conduct thorough eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools such as autorefractometers, slit lamps, and fundus cameras to assess visual acuity and ocular health.
Perform precise refraction and retinoscopy procedures to determine accurate corrective lens prescriptions for patients.
Execute specialized tests including applanation tonometry, A-Scan biometry, and keratometry to evaluate intraocular pressure and corneal curvature.
Administer and interpret visual field tests (HVF) and Rabin's Test (RT Test) to detect potential vision abnormalities or neurological issues.
Provide essential patient counseling and education regarding eye health, vision correction options, and the management of specific ocular conditions.
Utilize I care software and other clinical documentation systems to maintain accurate patient records and treatment histories.
Collaborate with the broader medical team to ensure seamless integration of eye care services within the overall healthcare framework.
Requirements
Possess a minimum of 0 to 1 year of hands-on experience in an optometry or healthcare setting.
Demonstrate practical proficiency with key ophthalmic equipment, including the Autorefractometer, Slit Lamp, Applanation Tonometer, Fundus Camera, A-Scan, and Keratometer.
Exhibit strong clinical skills in refraction, retinoscopy, and comprehensive slit lamp examinations.
Show competence in conducting vision tests such as the RT Test and Visual Field Testing (HVF).
Possess excellent communication abilities to effectively counsel patients and explain complex medical findings in clear, accessible language.
Maintain a professional demeanor and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Salary range for this position is ₹15,000 to ₹35,000.
