Oracle JDE CNC

Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) CNC stands for Configurable Network Computing. It is the technical administration and infrastructure layer of Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1). A JDE CNC consultant is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading, and securing the JDE environment rather than developing business logic or configuring functional modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure JD Edwards EnterpriseOne components:
  • Deployment Server
    
  • Enterprise Server
    
  • HTML/Web Server
    
  • AIS Server
    
  • Server Manager
    
• Perform Tools Release upgrades and ESU/ASU installations.
  
• Build and deploy packages across Development, Test, and Production.
  
• Create and manage environments (DV, PY, PD, etc.).
  
• Administer users, roles, and security.
  
• Configure Object Management Workbench (OMW) and Object Configuration Manager (OCM).
  
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  
• Perform environment refreshes, backups, disaster recovery, and cloning.
  
• Configure distributed processing, batch queues, and job queues.
  
• Work closely with functional consultants and developers during implementations and upgrades.
