Job Description - Pediatric Surgeon

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Surgeon to join our medical team, focusing on the surgical care of infants, children, and adolescents. This pivotal role involves diagnosing and treating complex congenital and acquired conditions, performing delicate surgical procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position is critical for maintaining high standards of pediatric healthcare and providing compassionate, specialized surgical interventions.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and formulate surgical treatment plans for pediatric patients.
Perform a wide range of surgical procedures tailored to the unique anatomical and physiological needs of children.
Monitor post-operative recovery, managing complications and adjusting care protocols as necessary.
Communicate effectively with patients' families, explaining procedures, risks, and recovery expectations with empathy and clarity.
Collaborate with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to deliver coordinated, holistic care.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards.

Requirements

Possess core medical knowledge specific to pediatric surgery and related subspecialties.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal capabilities to build trust with young patients and their guardians.
Exhibit exceptional organizational skills to manage complex schedules, surgical caseloads, and documentation.
Have 0-1 year of relevant work experience in a clinical or surgical setting.
Hold appropriate medical licensure and board certifications required for the role.
