The PGT English Teacher will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to senior secondary students, delivering engaging lessons, and ensuring academic excellence. The role includes curriculum planning, classroom instruction, assessment, and supporting studentsâ overall development.
Plan and deliver high\-quality English lessons for classes XIâXII as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/State Board).
Teach English Core / English Elective as applicable.

Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assignments.
Conduct formative and summative assessments as per school guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare report cards.
Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and active participation.
Contribute to curriculum development and question paper setting.
Mentor students for board examinations, debates, writing competitions, and other literary activities.
Attend staff meetings, workshops, and school events.
Participate in professional development programs
Masterâs degree (MA) in English.
B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory).
Minimum 2â5 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level (preferred).
Strong command of English language and literature.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to use digital tools and smart classroom technology.
Creativity, patience, and a student\-centric approach.
