Job Description - Physical Education teacher for Secondary section

- We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Physical Education Teacher to join our IGCSE team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical education and a genuine enthusiasm for promoting healthy lifestyles and lifelong fitness habits among secondary level students.
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curriculum and lesson plans for secondary level students, aligned with national and state standards.
- Lead engaging and interactive physical education classes that incorporate a variety of activities, games, and exercises to promote cardiovascular health, strength, flexibility, and coordination.
- Assess student fitness levels and regularly progress through fitness assessments, skill drills, and other evaluation methods, providing personalized feedback and support for improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect for diversity among students.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, sports teams, and fitness clubs to provide additional opportunities for student participation and physical activity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical education concepts across the curriculum and promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, participation, and behavior in physical education classes and extracurricular activities.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in physical education, health, and fitness education, incorporating relevant updates into lesson planning and instructional strategies.

Requirements

Required Qualifications - Masters Degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed.

Required Skills - - Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines, with a commitment to following the school’s policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well organized and committed to creating a positive learning environment.
- Creative, energetic, and possessing strong moral values and discipline.

Required Experience - Proven experience as a teacher. A and AS LEVEL
