Job Description - Principal Canshala

Role Overview

The Principal will be
responsible for supervising classroom activities, curriculum development,
and children learning outcomes
. This role includes mentoring teachers,
tracking children learning progress, and organizing extracurricular activities
to ensure a holistic learning experience
and following up to facilitating reintegration of children into
formal schooling
. The Head Teacher will
also coordinate with social workers, dietician, psychologists and other social
support team for student well -being, develop learning methodologies, and ensure
compliance with educational policies.

Key
Responsibilities

1. Teaching
& Supervision

  • Supervise classroom activities and
    ensure quality education delivery
    .

  • Ensuring children safety and well -being
    from arrival to breakfast and lunch to departure from CanShala.

  • Implement PEPs and monitor individual
    student tracking, follow -ups and learning progress
    .

  • Develop and refine processes for effective
    teaching methodologies to align with children needs.

  • Ensure teachers implement innovative
    teaching methods
    for enhanced learning.

·        Ensuring
the education services like formal, non -formal, therapeutic and scholarships are provided to children in CanShala.

 

2. Student
& Teacher Support

  • Coordinate with social workers and
    psychologists
    for student well -being.

  • Conduct training sessions and mentoring
    programs
    for teachers.

  • Conduct monthly progress meetings with
    teachers
    and support staff.

3.
Extracurricular & Community Engagement

  • Organize celebrations, outings, and
    excursions
    for students.

  • Plan extracurricular and therapeutic
    learning activities
    .

  • Ensure compliance with attendance and
    performance tracking of staff and children
    .

  • Ability to mentor and train teachers.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
