About GalaxEye Space
GalaxEye Space is a pioneer in the Earth Observation (EO) industry, building the world's first multi -sensor imaging satellite. By combining Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Multi -Spectral Imager (MSI) through our proprietary SyncFused technology, we provide high -resolution, all -weather, and day -night imaging capabilities that were previously impossible.
The Principal Image Analyst is a strategic leadership position responsible for the end -to -end management of our Data Operations. You will lead the imagery team—spanning Senior, Associate, and Junior Image Analysts—to translate mission objectives into high -quality data products. You will own the entire lifecycle of data production, from early -stage planning and sensor calibration to final execution, tracking, and delivery of space -borne and drone -borne products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Team Management
Team Oversight: Lead and mentor a multi -tiered team of Senior Image Analysts, Image Analysts, and Junior Analysts.
Workflow Management: Design and optimize the end -to -end data operations workflow, ensuring seamless coordination between mission planning, data acquisition, and product generation.
Resource Allocation: Manage team bandwidth and technical assignments to meet rigorous project deadlines and R&D milestones.
2. End -to -End Mission Planning & Execution
Planning: Collaborate with the Space Engineering team to define optimal imaging parameters (incidence angles, polarization, spectral configurations) for specific customer requirements.
Execution: Supervise the processing of X -band SAR, MSI, and SyncFused data, ensuring all products meet the "GalaxEye Standard" for geometric and radiometric fidelity.
Tracking: Implement robust project tracking systems to monitor data delivery timelines, sensor health from an imagery perspective, and processing pipeline efficiency.
3. Advanced Algorithm & Product Stewardship
Innovation: Drive the research roadmap for next -generation SyncFused products, overlooking algorithm feasibility studies performed by the senior staff.
Sensor Fusion: Take ownership of quality of co -registration and fusion of SAR and MSI datasets, ensuring physical consistency across varied environmental conditions.
Drone -to -Space Strategy: Oversee the transition of algorithms validated on drone -borne platforms to the satellite processing chain.
4. Global Calibration, Validation, and QA/QC
Standard Setting: Define the global benchmarks for Calibration and Validation (Cal/Val) across the GalaxEye constellation.
QA/QC Oversight: Own the final sign -off for major data deliveries, ensuring that both satellite imagery and drone -borne data meet stringent internal and external quality metrics (SNR, MTF, IRF).
Framework Development: Direct the development of automated evaluation frameworks that scale with a growing constellation.
5. Stakeholder Communication
Bridge Technical & Business: Translate complex sensor limitations and data product capabilities into clear technical specifications for the business and sales teams.
Customer Interface: Act as a technical expert in high -level customer discussions regarding data quality and specialized use cases.
