The Principal SAP PP QM Business Analyst is a senior -level
functional expert responsible for leading solution design, process
optimization, and configuration across Production Planning and Quality
Management. This role requires deep hands -on experience with SAP PP and QM
modules, strong manufacturing domain knowledge, and the ability to partner with
Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and IT leadership to deliver scalable
enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

·        Production Planning (PP) – Functional
Leadership

·        Lead end -to -end SAP PP process design covering:

·        Demand Management

·        MPS/MRP

·        Bill of Materials (BOM) & Routing setup

·        Production Orders & Process Orders

·        Capacity Planning & Scheduling

·        Shop Floor Execution

·        Conduct workshops to gather manufacturing
requirements and translate them into SAP configurations.

·        Optimize production workflows and align SAP
capabilities with operational goals

·        Quality Management (QM) – Functional Expertise

·        Lead design and configuration of SAP QM
processes:

·        Quality Planning (Inspection Plans, MICs)

·        Quality Inspection (Incoming, In -Process,
Final)

·        Quality Notifications & Defect Recording

·        Results Recording & Usage Decisions

·        Certificates of Analysis (COA)

·        Ensure strong alignment between Production, QC,
and Supplier Quality processes.

·        Cross -Functional Integration

 Work closely with:

·        SAP MM for procurement quality, material
postings, and batch management

·        SAP WM/EWM for inspection lot handling and
warehouse integration

·        SAP SD for quality -related delivery processes

·        SAP PM for equipment calibration or quality
impact

·        SAP FI/CO for cost allocations, variances &
reporting

·        Ensure end -to -end process continuity across
production, quality, and supply chain.

·        Solution Delivery & Enhancements

·        Configure SAP PP/QM components, master data
objects (BOM, Routing, Work Centers), and inspection plans.

·        Create functional specifications for WRICEF
(Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms).

·        Lead testing cycles (Unit, SIT, UAT), defect
resolution, and cutover support.

·        Drive S/4HANA migration or optimization
initiatives when applicable.

·        Production Support & Continuous Improvement

·        Provide Tier -3 support for complex production
and quality issues.

·        Troubleshoot MRP exceptions, scheduling issues,
inspection lot failures, and quality notifications.

·        Implement continuous improvements to enhance
production efficiency and product quality.

·        Monitor system performance and ensure
compliance with regulatory/industry standards (FDA, ISO, GMP if applicable).

Required Qualifications

·        10–14 years of experience as an SAP PP/QM
functional consultant or Business Analyst.

·        Deep hands -on configuration experience in both
PP and QM modules

·        Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
(discrete, process, or repetitive).

·        Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.

·        Experience with MRP, capacity planning,
inspection lots, results recording, and notifications.

·        Proven ability to gather requirements and
translate into SAP functional designs
