Production Engineer - YRM

Overview

Key responsibilities

• Designing and implementing production processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity
• Monitoring production equipment to ensure it operates efficiently and safely
• Identifying and addressing production issues to minimize downtime and maximize output
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve production processes and achieve cost-effective production goals
• Conducting root cause analysis to identify and resolve production-related problems
• Developing and documenting standard operating procedures for production processes
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality control measures
• Participating in the selection and installation of new equipment and technologies
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to production personnel
• Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and reduce waste
• Leading and supervising a team of production staff to achieve production targets
• Contributing to the design and implementation of lean manufacturing principles
• Coordinating with maintenance and engineering teams to address equipment maintenance and repair needs
• Participating in the development and execution of production schedules and plans
• Conducting risk assessments and implementing safety protocols in the production environment

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
• Proven experience in a production engineering or manufacturing role
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Project management experience with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Familiarity with ergonomic and safety standards in a manufacturing environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership and supervisory experience in a production setting
• Experience with production scheduling and inventory management
• Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices in manufacturing
