Job Description - Radiologist

1. X -ray

â Uses: Primarily for viewing bones, detecting fractures, lung
conditions, and dental

problems.

â Pros: Quick, inexpensive, widely available.

â Cons: Limited for soft tissues, involves radiation.

2. CT Scan (Computed Tomography)

â Uses: Detailed imaging of internal organs, bones, and blood
vessels, used for trauma,

cancer, or internal bleeding.

â Pros: High detail, fast results.

â Cons: Higher radiation dose, expensive.

3. MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

â Uses: Soft tissue imaging (brain, spinal cord, muscles, joints),
no radiation.

â Pros: Excellent for soft tissue details, no radiation.

â Cons: Expensive, longer procedure, not for patients with certain implants.

4. Ultrasound (USG)

â Uses: Pregnancy monitoring, abdominal and pelvic issues, heart conditions

(echocardiograms).

â Pros: Safe (no radiation), real -time imaging, inexpensive.

â Cons: Limited for dense tissues, image quality affected by body
fat or gas
