The
Regional Manager - Sales plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth,
business expansion, and sales performance across multiple territories within
the financial services sector. Reporting to the Zonal Sales Head / National
Sales Head, this position is responsible for leading Territory Managers and
field sales teams, overseeing regional sales operations, and executing
strategic initiatives to achieve quarterly and annual business targets. The
ideal candidate will leverage deep expertise in banking operations, secured and
unsecured loan products including Business Loans (BL), Personal Loans (PL),
Loan Against Property (LAP), and financial documentation to ensure effective
sales execution, operational efficiency, and superior customer experience
across the region.
This
role demands a proactive, results -driven professional with strong leadership
capabilities, financial product knowledge, and team management expertise. The
Regional Manager is instrumental in driving regional growth, strengthening
channel partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering a
high -performance sales culture across multiple territories.
· Lead and mentor Territory Managers and field sales teams to
achieve regional sales targets and business objectives.
· Develop and implement region -specific sales strategies aligned
with organizational goals and market opportunities.
· Monitor and drive sales performance across assigned territories
through regular reviews, field visits, and performance tracking.
· Oversee end -to -end sales operations for secured and unsecured
banking products including Business Loans (BL), Personal Loans (PL), Loan
Against Property (LAP), and other lending products, ensuring compliance and
operational accuracy.
· Collaborate with credit, operations, and finance teams to ensure
timely loan processing, documentation verification, and disbursement across the
region.
· Identify and expand new business opportunities through market
intelligence, strategic alliances, and channel partner development.
· Ensure effective pipeline management, customer acquisition, and
portfolio growth through strong field execution and sales governance.
· Analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and
customer feedback to enhance business strategies and improve market
penetration.
· Conduct training, coaching, and performance development
initiatives for Territory Managers and sales teams to strengthen product
knowledge and sales capabilities.
· Deliver periodic MIS reports, sales forecasts, and business
insights to senior management on regional performance metrics and operational
challenges.
· Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and
KYC/AML compliance standards during all customer interactions and sales
processes.
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration,
or a related field; MBA in Marketing or Sales is preferred.
· Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in sales within the
financial services or banking industry, including team handling
responsibilities.
· Proven track record of achieving and exceeding regional sales
targets in secured and unsecured loan products such as BL, PL, and LAP.
· Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in
handling multiple territories or branches.
· In -depth understanding of banking operations, lending products,
credit assessment, and compliance protocols.
· Exceptional customer relationship management and business
development skills with a consultative sales approach.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and decision -making abilities
in a fast -paced business environment.
· Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, SAP FI, and digital
sales/reporting platforms.
· Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.
· Ability to drive performance, lead by example, and build a
high -performance sales culture across teams.
