Job Description - Hiring || SAP HANA Database Administrator (DBA) - PAN INDIA

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA Database Administrator (DBA) with 8-13 years of overall IT experience, including 6+ years in SAP HANA environments, to support critical SAP S/4HANA landscapes across PAN INDIA. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, performance, and high availability of SAP HANA databases that power business-critical applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end database administration, performance optimization, disaster recovery, and seamless integration with the broader SAP ecosystem. The position demands a strong technical foundation in HANA architecture, system replication, and capacity planning, along with proactive problem-solving skills to maintain optimal system health and support enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.

Location: PAN INDIA

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and upgrade SAP HANA systems in S/4HANA environments
Manage HANA databases across S/4HANA and BW/HANA landscapes
Perform system refreshes, tenant management, and database cloning
Monitor system health and performance using HANA Studio and HANA Cockpit
Analyze and optimize database performance, including memory, CPU, and SQL query tuning
Implement and manage table partitioning, data aging, and database sizing strategies
Configure and maintain HANA System Replication for high availability
Execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery (DR) procedures and testing
Collaborate with SAP Basis teams on transport upgrades, system migrations, and S/4HANA conversions
Troubleshoot and resolve SAP performance issues rooted in database operations

Requirements

Proven hands-on experience in SAP HANA database administration
Deep understanding of HANA architecture, performance tuning, and optimization techniques
Experience with HANA System Replication and backup/restore strategies
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA environments and landscape management
Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems
Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager for monitoring and diagnostics
Scripting proficiency in SQL and shell scripting
Experience with SAP Basis activities (preferred)
Exposure to SAP on cloud platforms (RISE with SAP, AWS, Azure) is a plus
