Job Description - Research Associate




ABOUT US:







The IC3 Institute is a volunteer-based organization committed to supporting high schools



worldwide in establishing and maintaining effective career and college counseling departments.



Our systems-based solution involves training human resources, providing access to remote



training resources, mentoring, and fostering professional development. Additionally, we serve as



a think tank and thought leader in global higher education and career readiness through expert



convening and timely research.







POSITION OVERVIEW:







We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our dynamic team at



the IC3 Institute. As a Research Associate, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to



our organization's mission by conducting both quantitative and qualitative research. This role is



ideal for an individual with a passion for education or social impact, strong analytical skills, and



the ability to generate insights that will inform and enhance our programs. As a Research



Associate at the IC3 Institute, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that directly



impact the enhancement of career and college counseling in high schools globally.







KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:







• Assist the Research Function at the IC3 Institute in qualitative research projects, including but not limited to, literature reviews, data collection, and analysis.







• Engage in quantitative and qualitative research as instructed with the aim to inform the development and improvement of career and college counseling programs in high schools and inform institutions of higher education in relevant trends







• Analyze data, draw meaningful conclusions, and present findings to contribute to evidence-based decision-making.







• Contribute to the development of research reports and publications as required.







• Stay informed about trends and best practices in education, career counseling, and higher education.







• Monitor program impact, collect key data points and provide evidence to inform effective and efficient program planning.







QUALIFICATIONS







EDUCATION:







Bachelor’s degree (e.g., statistics, education, social sciences, or related fields like social work, human



development, development economics).







WORK EXPERIENCE:







1-3 years of experience in academic coursework or research experience in



quantitative and qualitative research methods. Preference is given to candidates with research experience



in the higher education sector or social sector space. Openness to travel as per the organization's needs



to represent the IC3 Institute in internal and external events, including webinars, forums, conferences, etc.







SKILLS:







Required Skills:



• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience with statistical analysis.



• Proficiency in research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative.



• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.



• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.



• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.



• Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R, or similar).



• Demonstrated interest in education, career counseling, or related fields.



• Stay updated on trends and advancements in global higher education and career readiness.



• Discrete in the management of data and compliant with institutional guidelines.







Desirable Skills:



• Previous research experience in education or a related field.



• Familiarity with survey design and implementation.



• Knowledge of international education systems and career development trends.



• Experience with qualitative data analysis software.



• Strong organizational and time management skills.



• Strong communication skills
