Researcher - Formula Development

Your Tasks

The Researcher – Formulation Development contributes to developing innovative and improved products within the Body Even Tone category. The role focuses on hands-on formulation, supporting project execution, and delivering high-quality R&D outputs within defined timelines under moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Project / Insight Management
  - Support project execution by providing timely updates, experimental results, and documentation. Participate in formulation development and lab activities.
  - Execute defined tasks within low-complexity innovation or renovation projects with guidance.
  - Plan and manage assigned activities related to supply chain and product roll-outs, handling multiple tasks with effective prioritization.


•  Formulation Development & Technology Support
  - Develop, optimize, and evaluate body care formulations (e.g., lotions, creams) ensuring stability, performance, and compliance.
  - Support value management and supply chain projects, including cost optimization and troubleshooting.
  - Build understanding of category trends, competitor products, consumer insights, and ingredient technologies.
  - Assist in patent-related documentation through data generation and technical inputs.


• R&D Workflow Execution
  - Manage routine R&D activities including formulation databases, stability studies, microbiological and safety assessments, and product registration support.
  - Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with R&D processes and quality standards.


• Organizational Contribution
  - Participate in team meetings, R&D workgroups, and site initiatives related to safety, culture, and process improvement.
  - Contribute ideas to improve lab efficiency and simplify processes.

Your Profile

Qualifications & Experience

• Education




• M. Pharma


• M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry)


• B.Tech / M.Tech (Chemical Engineering / Cosmetic Science / Biotechnology or related fields)




• Experience




• 2–4 years of experience in formulation development


• Preferably in skincare, body care, deodorants, or personal care products

Key Knowledge & Competencies

• Technical Skills
  Basic hands-on experience in formulation development, stability testing, and lab practices.


• Industry Knowledge
  Exposure to FMCG/personal care environment, preferably in skincare or body care categories.


• Communication Skills
  Ability to communicate clearly with team members and cross-functional stakeholders.


• Analytical & Presentation Skills
  Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint. Structured thinking and problem-solving ability.


• Interpersonal Skills
  Team player with collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.
