Retail Merchandising Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Retail Merchandising Manager to drive merchandise planning, inventory optimization, and sales performance across our retail network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for merchandise planning, stock allocation, replenishment, assortment planning, and inventory management while ensuring product availability and maximizing sales across all stores.

Key Responsibilities

●      Develop merchandise plans based on seasonal demand, sales forecasts, and business objectives.

●      Plan merchandise allocation and stock requirements for existing and new retail stores.

●      Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to maintain optimum stock availability.

●      Manage stock transfers and optimize inventory across all stores to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.

●      Analyze store-wise, category-wise, and SKU-wise sales performance to identify business opportunities.

●      Track inventory ageing and implement strategies to improve sell-through and reduce slow-moving stock.

●      Plan product assortments based on regional demand and customer buying behaviour.

●      Coordinate with Retail Operations, Buying, Warehouse, and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure seamless merchandise flow.

●      Support new store launches by planning initial merchandise allocation and assortment.

●      Drive sales performance through effective merchandise planning and continuous coordination with regional and store teams.

●      Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained across all retail stores.

●      Prepare and present merchandising MIS reports, inventory reports, sales analysis, and business insights to management.

●      Ensure accountability for merchandise performance and inventory management across all assigned states.

●      Conduct regular store visits to understand customer preferences, product performance, and merchandising effectiveness.

Required Skills

●      Strong knowledge of Retail Merchandising and Inventory Management.

●      Expertise in merchandise planning, allocation, replenishment, and stock optimization.

●      Strong analytical and business reporting skills.

●      Good understanding of apparel retail trends and consumer buying behaviour.

●      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/Retail Management Systems.

●      Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.

●      Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

●      Ability to manage multiple stores and work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Educational Qualification
