Job Description – Manager / Head – Liaisoning

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Manager / Head – Liaisoning with strong exposure to Mumbai real estate and liaisoning activities, particularly with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and its Building Department.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of BMC processes, drawings, approvals and coordination with concerned authorities and government officials.

Key Responsibilities

Handle end-to-end liaisoning activities with BMC and relevant government authorities.
Thoroughly understand and interpret BMC drawings, plans and related documentation.
Coordinate and interact effectively with Building Department Engineers, Sub-Engineers and other concerned officials.
Manage day-to-day follow-ups, submissions, approvals, clarifications and documentation with the BMC Building Department.
Ensure timely movement of drawings, applications, permissions and approvals.
Coordinate internally with architects, draftsmen, consultants and project teams for statutory requirements.
Track approval processes and proactively resolve issues or queries raised by authorities.
Maintain strong professional relationships with relevant government departments and officials.
Ensure compliance with applicable BMC procedures and requirements.

Mandatory Requirements

12–22 years of relevant experience in liaisoning, preferably within the real estate/development sector.
Strong understanding of BMC drawings is mandatory.
Must have hands-on experience dealing and coordinating with BMC Building Department Engineers and Sub-Engineers.
Good working knowledge and practical experience with AutoDCR is required.
Strong understanding of the Mumbai BMC approval and liaisoning process.

Preferred Qualification
ITI Draftsman qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
Candidates without an ITI Draftsman background can also be considered if they possess strong practical experience in BMC drawings, AutoDCR and Building Department liaisoning.

The ideal candidate should be well-connected, confident in dealing with government authorities, technically sound in understanding drawings and capable of independently handling liaisoning responsibilities from submission through approval.
