SAP Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing project delivery activities for offshore teams, ensuring successful execution within scope, budget, and timeline expectations. This role combines hands-on project coordination with governance, reporting, and quality oversight to ensure deliverables meet business requirements and organizational standards.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between offshore resources and onshore leadership, providing clear communication, risk management, and operational leadership across multiple initiatives.

Project Planning & Governance

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.


• Develop project plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and execution strategies.


• Identify project risks, dependencies, and constraints, and implement mitigation plans.


• Monitor project performance and ensure adherence to established project management standards and methodologies.


• Evaluate scope changes and assess impacts to project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.

Team Coordination

• Lead and direct daily operations for offshore project teams.


• Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor workload distribution.


• Coordinate activities across technical, functional, and business resources.


• Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.


• Support resource planning and capacity management efforts.

Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact between offshore teams and onshore leadership.


• Provide regular status updates, milestone reporting, and project health assessments.


• Communicate project requirements, business objectives, and priorities to delivery teams.


• Escalate risks, issues, and roadblocks in a timely manner.


• Ensure alignment between project execution and business goals.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Track project progress against established milestones and deliverables.


• Maintain project schedules, action logs, risk registers, and status reports.


• Develop reporting metrics and dashboards for leadership review.


• Monitor budget utilization, resource allocation, and schedule performance.


• Present project updates and recommendations to stakeholders.

Risk & Issue Management

• Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.


• Manage issue resolution efforts to minimize project disruption.


• Coordinate cross-functional support to address project challenges.


• Recommend corrective actions when projects deviate from plan.

Project Closure

• Conduct project closeout activities and post-project reviews.


• Document lessons learned and improvement opportunities.


• Ensure proper transition of completed initiatives to operational or support teams.


• Maintain project documentation and knowledge transfer materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.


• 5-8 years of project management experience leading technology, business transformation, or consulting projects.


• Experience managing offshore or geographically distributed teams.


• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.


• Strong understanding of project planning, governance, risk management, and resource allocation.


• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


• Experience working with U.S.-based clients preferred.


• Ability to work overlapping hours with the U.S. Central Time Zone.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.


• MBA preferred.


• Experience in IT consulting, managed services, enterprise applications, or digital transformation initiatives.


• Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
