Description As the EHS Head, you will play a vital role in overseeing and implementing effective Environment, Safety, and Health (EHS) practices within our factory operations. Your primary responsibility is to create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role is crucial in driving our commitment to sustainability and employee well-being.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and documentation of all EHS-related incidents.
Train and educate employees on EHS practices, promoting a culture of safety and awareness.
Manage and maintain accurate records of EHS data, including incident reports, inspections, and training records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into new projects and processes.
Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in EHS management.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
Ensure proper waste management and disposal practices are followed, in line with environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar EHS leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or food industry setting.
Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, particularly those applicable to factory operations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful EHS programs and initiatives.
Proficiency in using EHS management software and data analysis tools.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel for site visits, audits, and training purposes.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to EHS management.
