SDET-2 (Manual + Automation)

At  Saleshandy, we’re on a mission to achieve 100% automation by the end of the year and we need an experienced SDET to help us lead the way! As an SDET 2, you’ll design scalable automation frameworks, mentor junior QA engineers, drive quality initiatives, and collaborate closely with developers and product teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software.

Who Are We Looking For? – SDET 2 

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in QA / SDET roles
• Experience working on SaaS-based products and platforms
• Strong expertise in web application testing, REST API testing, and complex API workflows
• Deep understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and advanced test design techniques
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright for automation testing
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks using:
  • BDD approach (Cucumber with Playwright)
  • Page Object Model (POM)
  • Data-driven and reusable automation architecture
• Ability to write clean, scalable, maintainable, and efficient automation scripts
• Strong experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman and automation of API test suites
• Comfortable writing complex SQL queries and validating database workflows (MySQL,Mongo DB, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Git workflows and version control practices
• Experience debugging production issues and collaborating closely with engineering teams
• Exposure to AI-powered testing tools and modern QA practices, including:
  • Using ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code for automation development and test generation
  • Self-healing automation frameworks and intelligent locators
  • AI-assisted debugging, test maintenance, and reporting
• Experience mentoring junior QA engineers and reviewing automation code
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication, ownership mindset, and collaboration skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced product engineering environment

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test suites
• Improve test coverage across UI, API, and integration layers
• Collaborate with developers and product managers during requirement analysis and sprint planning
• Identify automation opportunities and drive quality engineering best practices
• Analyze test failures, debug issues, and ensure quick resolution
• Ensure stable and reliable automation execution in CI/CD pipelines
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to team growth
• Participate in code reviews, quality discussions, and release sign-offs
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and automation efficiency
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate automation implementation and improve productivity

Nice To Have

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter
• Knowledge of security testing concepts and OWASP Top 10
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS)
• Experience with Docker and containerized test execution
• Familiarity with accessibility testing and cross-browser testing strategies
• Understanding of monitoring/logging tools for debugging production issues
