As a Senior Associate - Deals Advisory - M&A Ops (Sector: Industrial Products & Services), you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through complex transactions, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. Within our Deals practice, you will assist clients in integrating acquisitions and maximizing the value of their investments by conducting valuations, performing financial analysis, and developing post-merger integration strategies.

You are expected to navigate ambiguity, ask insightful questions, and communicate how various elements fit together. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will be at the forefront of strategic advisory, using your influence to craft and convey impactful messages that tell a holistic story. You will apply systems thinking to identify underlying problems and opportunities, validate outcomes with clients, and act on feedback to enhance client relationships and deliver value.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end deal value creation initiatives including pre/post-deal performance improvement, operational efficiency programs, and profitability enhancement (e.g., cost optimization, supply chain and back-office transformation).
- Support complex transactions such as carve-outs, divestments, and M&A integration by driving separation planning, Day 1 readiness, transition execution, and synergy realization across combined entities.
- Deliver buy- and sell-side operational due diligence by analyzing business performance across the value chain and identifying value creation opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
- Conducting valuations and financial analysis to support mergers and acquisitions
- Developing strategies for post-merger integration to maximize investment value
- Navigating complex transactions and providing strategic advice to clients
- Applying systems thinking to identify underlying problems and opportunities
- Crafting and conveying clear, impactful messages that tell a holistic story
- Validating outcomes with clients and acting on feedback to improve processes
- Directing teams through ambiguity and challenging situations with composure
- Initiating open and honest coaching conversations at all levels
- Modeling and reinforcing professional and technical standards within the team
- Evaluating business plans and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning
- Collaborating on acquisition strategies and deal structures to enhance value creation
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
- MBA in Strategy/ Marketing/ Finance from a premium B-School. Experience in M&A or management consulting domain.
