The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the GDS Risk Management Services (RMS) Innovation Risk function in Gurgaon, India. We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Associate, focusing on Responsible AI, emerging technology risk, compliance and technical governance. Someone who wants to grow and develop future-focused skills in Artificial Intelligence, Responsible AI, innovation risk and emerging technology governance. 

You will work closely with EY Technology, Service Lines and Global Functions along with helping delivery teams adopt Responsible AI requirements through practical toolkits, checklists and training support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced global environment and who can combine technical curiosity, risk judgment and clear communication to help teams embed AI governance into real delivery workflows. 

Your responsibilities

• Support the Manager/Assistant Director in executing Global Risk Management and Innovation Risk requirements for AI Systems.


• Assist in maintaining and updating the Risk and Control Matrix for AI systems


• Assist in tracking control gaps, exceptions, remediation actions, owners, due dates and closure status


• Track progress on key projects and initiatives, ensuring timely updates and follow-ups..


• Use tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot and other Gen AI Tools to assist in research and advisory efforts.


• Prepare reports and presentations as per requirement.


• Assist in managing and driving special projects and initiatives as needed.

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of risk and control frameworks, RACM, internal controls, control testing and compliance documentation.


• Familiarity with AI governance, Responsible AI concepts, emerging technology risk and AI system lifecycle controls.


• Basic understanding of data privacy, information security, data quality, AI transparency, monitoring/logging and responsible use controls.


• Proficient or willing to learn digital tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot and other generative AI platforms


• Understanding of quality and risk management principles


• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with ability to prepare trackers, dashboards, reports, summaries and control documentation.


• Good drafting, documentation and research skills with ability to capture requirements accurately and follow global guidance.


• Execution-focused with attention to detail, logical thinking and commitment to quality.

Business Skills

• Strong coordination, follow-up and task management skills.


• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across Risk, Legal, InfoSec, Data Risk, Compliance, Service Line Quality, Global Innovation and service line teams.


• Good written and verbal communication skills


• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation consistently.


• Ability to manage assigned workstreams, timelines and priorities with limited supervision.


• Responsive and adaptable to evolving AI governance and Innovation Risk requirements.


• Ability to identify delays, incomplete information, potential control gaps or risks and escalate appropriately.


• Service-oriented mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for global stakeholders.


• Willingness to learn AI governance, Responsible AI, control testing and risk management practices.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Post Graduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Systems, Technology, Law, Compliance or related discipline.


• Approximately 4-5 years of relevant experience in risk management, internal controls, compliance, AI governance, data risk, or related areas.


• Working in Risk Management domain is preferable.


• Exposure to AI, emerging technologies, technology risk, Responsible AI, digital governance or data/privacy control environments will be an advantage.


• Certifications in risk, compliance, project management, data privacy or information security are preferred but not mandatory.
