About Non-profit Advisory

One of the core areas of focus for Sattva is strengthening nonprofits and social enterprises through a hands-on approach, to help orbit-shifting scale and impact. In the last ten years, Sattva has enabled over 500 organisations to create impact at scale. Within Sattva, the Non-profit advisory vertical aims to enable aspirational organisations create impact at scale. The vertical provides services across three levels; First, the vertical helps build overall strategic clarity through various offerings, such as organisational strategy, new market entry, and retained advisory. Second, through program enablement offerings, the team assesses program readiness and designs pathways and solutions to pilot and scale programs. Third, via institutional building activities such as Monitoring and Evaluation, Fundraising Strategy, Organisational Design, and Talent Advisory, the vertical strategically builds organisational, financial, and legal structures appropriate to achieve objectives and aligned with the vision.  In practice, the team keeps evolving its support to nonprofits based on the changing needs on the ground and from communities across all sectors.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Consultant in Social Impact Advisory, you will play a crucial role within our team, collaborating to craft effective solutions that meet the needs of our clients while generating tangible social benefits. Your responsibilities will involve actively participating in project tasks, engaging in problem-solving activities, liaising with various stakeholders, and providing valuable insights derived from research efforts.

The following will be the key responsibilities:

Delivery Excellence
-- Take overall accountability for customer success through active listening, problem-solving and providing strategic inputs which align with their vision of high impact on the ground and the ecosystem.
-- Co-create solutions to meet client’s current and future needs, working closely with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.
-- Influence decision-making and action at the senior level of high-impact organisations to enable positive and sustainable impact.
-- Develop, manage, and grow working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
-- Ensure strong project management, team management and overall profitability of projects.

Market Engagement
-- Keep abreast of new and current trends within the social impact space, approaches to enable scalable impact.
-- Work closely with prospective clients, business development, and sales teams to ensure accurate scope of work, high-quality \ approach, and accurate effort estimation.
-- Contribute towards the organization's overall thought leadership strategy by generating meaningful content relevant to the ecosystem.

Institution Building
-- Lead internal strategic initiatives at the unit or organizational level that help contribute towards Sattva’s continued development.
-- Participate in building and strengthening internal systems and processes which contribute towards effective and efficient functioning of the unit and organization.
-- Contribute towards the development of junior team members, and towards a strong culture and working environment overall.
-- Build, structure, and develop knowledge to share internally within the organization and at the ecosystem level.

The Ideal Candidate:

-- 6-8 years of experience in consulting, complex operations, business development and stakeholder management in corporate, social enterprises, consulting firms or global foundation or robust entrepreneurial background.
-- Skilled in project management, effectively executing projects within set timelines and budgets.
-- Efficient in time and quality management, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work that exceeds client expectations.
-- Proficient in data analysis, utilizing advanced tools to interpret and present findings visually for decision-making.
-- Utilizes analytical thinking and creativity to overcome challenges, contributing to project and organizational success.
-- Cultivates positive client relationships understands needs, and delivers high-quality service for satisfaction and loyalty.
-- Applies strategic thinking to develop innovative solutions aligned with organizational goals.
-- Encourages collaborative teamwork, open communication, and effective delegation to optimize productivity and achieve project goals.
-- Demonstrates clear, persuasive, and empathetic verbal communication, fostering effective dialogue within the team and with stakeholders.
-- Skilled in monitoring and evaluation, designs frameworks to assess program effectiveness for continuous improvement.
-- Organization development expert, implements strategies for efficiency, positive culture, and continuous improvement.
-- Expert in Education, Skilling, Agriculture, and Health, develops tailored strategies to address challenges and drive positive impact.
