Senior DBA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled QAD DBA with 3–4 years of hands -on
experience in QAD installation, environment setup, system maintenance, and
deployment activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding
of QAD architecture, CVC processes, YAB installation, and effective environment
administration across Development, Test, and Production systems.

Key Responsibilities

QAD Installation & Environment Setup

• Perform installation,
  configuration, and upgrades of QAD Enterprise Edition (EE), Standard
  Edition (SE), and/or AUX environments.
  
• Set up and maintain QAD
  application servers, database servers, and WebUI environments.
  
• Execute YAB
  installation, configuration, and extensions as required.
  
• Coordinate environment
  refreshes, clones, and migrations across all QAD landscapes.
  

Deployments & Release Management

• Manage deployment
  activities including patching, program migrations, schema updates, and
  controlled releases.
  
• Collaborate with
  development and functional teams to schedule and execute deployments with
  minimal downtime.
  
• Ensure adherence to QAD
  deployment standards and CVC (Customer Validation Checklist) processes.
  

System & Database Administration

• Monitor system health,
  performance, and logs to ensure smooth environment operations.
  
• Conduct routine
  maintenance activities including backups, restorations, and log
  management.
  
• Troubleshoot
  environment -level issues across application and database tiers.
  
• Support SSL
  installation, license updates, and environment -level security
  configurations.
  

CVC & Compliance

• Prepare and execute CVC
  checklists for deployments, upgrades, and major changes.
  
• Ensure all environments
  comply with QAD standards and internal governance requirements.
  

User & Application Support

• Provide DBA -level
  support for QAD users, including environment issues, connectivity, and
  performance troubleshooting.
  
• Work closely with QAD
  support and internal SMEs for escalations and issue resolutions.
