INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking Senior E&I Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in advancing Process Automation Solutions across industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Renewable Energy. What You’ll Lead and Deliver
- Lead the review of RFQs, client specifications, datasheets, standards, and project requirements for Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) scope related to skid packages, wellhead control panels (WHCP), and associated systems.
- Take technical ownership of E&I engineering activities from concept and detailed design through testing, commissioning, and project closeout.
- Lead the preparation and review of engineering deliverables, including E&I specifications, WHCP and skid design documents, instrument datasheets, logic diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Perform and review electrical and instrumentation calculations, including electrical load calculations, cable sizing, instrument cable voltage-drop calculations, intrinsically safe (IS) circuit calculations, heat-load calculations, and WHCP sizing.
- Lead and coordinate E&I design, testing, FAT, installation support, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities for skid and wellhead packages.
- Review and provide technical inputs on engineering drawings and documents, including:Panel layouts and electrical schematics,Cable and Junction Box (JB) schedules, Cable routing layouts, Instrument installation details,Process and pneumatic hook-ups, Interconnection diagrams,Loop diagrams and Instrument Loop Diagrams (ILDs)
- Conduct interdisciplinary document reviews and ensure E&I requirements are properly integrated with Mechanical, Process, Piping, and other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in technical and interface meetings with clients, vendors, consultants, and project teams, providing engineering solutions and clarifications related to WHCP and skid E&I scope.
- Review vendor technical offers, drawings, datasheets, and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
- Prepare and review technical clarifications, technical queries, deviations, and vendor/customer correspondence related to E&I and WHCP packages.
- Develop technical designs and engineering solutions for E&I and WHCP systems based on project requirements, client specifications, and applicable international standards.
- Identify and evaluate technical risks, design deviations, assumptions, interface requirements, and potential scope gaps, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Lead technical discussions with clients and vendors to resolve design issues, clarify requirements, and obtain timely approvals.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors to ensure that E&I equipment and instrumentation meet the approved technical requirements.
- Review engineering documents for technical accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance before submission to clients.
- Ensure timely preparation, review, and submission of engineering deliverables, technical submittals, and project documentation in accordance with project schedules.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers and support the standardization and improvement of E&I engineering practices.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant IEC, API, ISA, NFPA, and client-specific standards, as applicable to the project.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering with 7–8 years of relevant experience in E&I engineering, preferably within Oil & Gas, EPC, process industries, skid packages, or wellhead systems.
- Proven experience in the engineering, design, testing, FAT, commissioning, and technical support of E&I systems for skids and Wellhead Control Panels (WHCP).
- Strong experience in reviewing RFQs, client specifications, project requirements, datasheets, and applicable engineering standards.
- Hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing E&I specifications, WHCP/skid design documents, instrument datasheets, logic diagrams, and engineering deliverables.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation calculations, including electrical load calculations, cable sizing, instrument cable voltage-drop calculations, intrinsically safe (IS) circuit calculations, heat-load calculations, and WHCP sizing.
- Experience reviewing and developing panel layouts, electrical schematics, cable and JB schedules, cable routing layouts, instrument installation details, pneumatic/process hook-ups, interconnection diagrams, loop diagrams, and ILDs.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation, control systems, electrical interfaces, and WHCP architecture.
- Experience with vendor technical bid evaluations, technical offers, vendor drawings, technical clarifications, deviations, and documentation reviews.
- Ability to identify technical risks, scope gaps, deviations, assumptions, and interface requirements and provide appropriate engineering solutions.
- Experience coordinating with clients, vendors, consultants, and multidisciplinary engineering teams on technical and design matters.
- Strong knowledge of relevant IEC, API, ISA, NFPA, and client-specific standards and specifications.
