Senior Executive - IT Systems

POS System Administration:

• Install, configure, and update POS systems
  
• Hardware – Barcode scanner, Printer, EDC terminals, Etc
  
• Software – POS software across all retails location at Ample
  
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels.
  
• Ensure POS systems are secure and compliant with company policies.
  
  

Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical support to end -users for POS -related issues.
  
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems promptly.
  
• Liaise with vendors for advanced troubleshooting and repairs.
  
• Perform regular system checks and backups.
  
• Monitor system performance and ensure uptime.
  
• Implement software updates, patches, and enhancements.
  

Training and Documentation:

• Train staff on the proper use of POS systems and peripherals.
  
• Create and maintain user guides and technical documentation.
  
• Reporting and Data Management:
  
• Generate and analyse sales and inventory reports from the POS system.
  
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry and reconciliation.
  

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the finance, operations, and IT teams to align POS capabilities with business needs.
  
• Provide input on system upgrades and recommend process improvements.
  
• Vendor and Asset Management:
  
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement and maintenance of POS hardware and software.
  
• Maintain an inventory of POS -related assets.
  

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of hardware components like printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, etc.
  
• Basic networking knowledge (Wi -Fi, LAN, etc.).
  
• Familiarity with operating systems like Windows or Linux.
  
• Analytical and problem -solving skills.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Experience in retail or hospitality environments.
  
• Understanding of PCI compliance and data security.
  
• Certification in relevant POS systems or IT support is a plus.
