M3-CMES Delivery Lead

We are seeking an experienced MES Delivery Lead with hands-on expertise in MES implementation, application deployments and Lead Post Launch Support in discrete manufacturing environments. The role involves MES deliverables under a Build & Run model, acting as a key interface between Business, Product, Digital, and OT teams, and providing flexible support for global manufacturing plants.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MES Delivery Lead with hands-on expertise in MES implementation, application deployments and Lead Post Launch Support in discrete manufacturing environments. The role involves MES deliverables under a Build & Run model, acting as a key interface between Business, Product, Digital, and OT teams, and providing flexible support for global manufacturing plants.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery and post launch application support of MES applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational excellence, and manufacturing continuity.
• Manage MES implementation projects including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, cutover planning, deployment, and hypercare activities.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions by collaborating with Business, Product, and Manufacturing stakeholders.
• Drive feature planning, effort estimation, Agile delivery, and production releases for new MES capabilities and enhancements.
• Provide technical leadership for Ignition MES modules, Vision/Perspective applications, gateway configurations, and MES architecture.
• Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project members from both internal and external teams.
• Oversee delivery teams building solutions that empower teams to execute and review solution designs, integration approaches, data models, and deployment strategies.
• Lead integration initiatives with PLCs, machines, in collaboration with Automation & Controls teams.
• Support continuous improvement programs, system upgrades, and global rollout initiatives across manufacturing sites.
• Maintain functional and technical documentation, user guides, training materials, and knowledge repositories to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
• Lead L1/L2 application support teams, ensuring SLA compliance, workload management, and high availability of MES platforms.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical incidents, driving rapid resolution, stakeholder communication, and business continuity.
• Own Incident, Problem, and Request Management processes, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementation of preventive actions.
• Monitor system health, performance, and resiliency while leveraging AI-enabled monitoring and predictive analytics to improve reliability.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, IAM, audit requirements, User Access Reviews (UAR), Privileged Access Reviews (PAR), and Disaster Recovery preparedness.
• Drive operational excellence through KPI tracking, ITIL best practices, support playbooks, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
• Utilize AI and automation technologies including Microsoft Copilot, Python, Power Automate, and AI-enabled ITSM tools to enhance productivity, automate support processes, and improve user experience.

Required Skills & Experience

• 9+ years of experience in MES application management within manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of discrete manufacturing processes.
• Experience with MES modules (Production, Quality, Maintenance, OEE, Downtime, Track & Trace).
• Exposure to Agile Tools (Preferably Jira, Rally etc)
• Familiar with key ITIL processes including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Request Management, and Knowledge Management.
• Working knowledge of Access management and governance (UAR/PAR processes)
• Disaster recovery and system resiliency concepts.
• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to work in different time zones to support global plants across multiple regions.

Good to Have

• AI-Assisted Incident Analysis and Troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, MQTT.
• AI-Enabled ITSM and Service Operations.
• Hands-on experience with Ignition platform is an added advantage.
• Experience in multi-site global MES application management.
