Job Description - Senior Technical Sales Associate


 


Role Summary


We are looking for a Senior Technical Sales Associate who can speak the language of APIs and fintech infrastructure as fluently as they close deals. You will own the end-to-end sales cycle for Fintech Primitives (FP) — Cybrilla's API platform powering mutual fund infrastructure for AMCs, and fintech startups across India.


This is not a generic sales role. You will engage with product and engineering teams at prospective clients, articulate the value of the infrastructure, and guide technical evaluations from first call to contract signature. You will report directly to the CEO and have a direct impact on both revenue and product direction.

What You'll Do


Technical Pre-Sales & Solutioning



  • Engage with technical stakeholders - CTOs, Product Managers, and Developers at AMCs, fintech startups, and wealth management firms to understand their requirements.

  • Conduct technical walkthroughs of the FP platform, mapping capabilities to client use cases

  • Respond to RFPs and technical questionnaires with precision, translating complex API functionality into clear business value propositions.


Sales Pipeline & Closure



  • Own and manage the complete sales cycle from inbound lead qualification and discovery calls to contract negotiation and closure.

  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline across Mutual Fund Distributors, IFA networks, robo-advisory platforms, and B2B fintech companies.

  • Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets with a structured, data-driven approach to pipeline management.


Market Intelligence & Strategy



  • Track the competitive landscape including MF platforms, AMC-direct APIs, and fintech infrastructure providers to sharpen Cybrilla's differentiation.

  • Contribute to outbound sales strategy by identifying high-potential client segments and building targeted outreach campaigns.

  • Share client feedback and market signals with the product team to influence the FP platform roadmap.


Client Engagement & Operations



  • Negotiate sales contracts and MSAs in coordination with the respective legal and leadership teams.

  • Coordinate with internal onboarding teams to ensure a smooth handoff post-closure and a successful client go-live.

  • Proactively follow up on account receivables and maintain strong client relationships through the payment cycle.


Required Skillset


Must Have



  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in a tech startup, with exposure to API-based products, SaaS platforms, or fintech infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage technical buyers comfortable discussing APIs, webhooks, sandbox environments, and integration timelines.

  • Familiarity with the Indian mutual fund ecosystem including, SEBI regulations, AMC operations, AMFI guidelines, or MF transaction workflows

  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas with documented closure metrics.

  • Excellent written communication capable of independently crafting compelling RFP responses, proposals, and client-facing documentation.


Good to Have



  • Prior experience in a pre-sales or solutions engineering role at a fintech or API company.

  • Existing relationships with product or technology teams at AMCs, wealth management firms, or MF-adjacent fintechs.
