Job Description - Shopify Web Developer Sr Associate

We are looking for a skilled Shopify Web Developer – Senior Associate to design, develop, and maintain high -performing Shopify eCommerce stores. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Shopify theme development, Liquid templating, custom app integrations, and front -end technologies. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and marketing teams to deliver scalable and user -friendly eCommerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify stores and themes.
Build responsive, mobile -first user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid.
Implement custom Shopify features and functionality based on business requirements.
Integrate third -party applications, APIs, and payment gateways.
Optimize website performance, speed, SEO, and accessibility.
Troubleshoot bugs, resolve technical issues, and perform regular maintenance.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure pixel -perfect implementation.
Work with Git for version control and participate in code reviews.
Ensure security, scalability, and best coding practices.
Support store migrations, upgrades, and feature enhancements.
Stay updated with Shopify platform updates and emerging eCommerce technologies.

Requirements

Required Skills

1–3 years of hands -on experience in Shopify development.
Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive web design.
Experience customizing Shopify themes and working with Shopify Online Store 2.0.
Basic understanding of Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, REST APIs, or GraphQL.
Experience integrating third -party Shopify apps and external APIs.
Familiarity with Git/GitHub or other version control systems.
Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and website performance optimization.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem -solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to React, Vue.js, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
Basic understanding of Shopify App development and Shopify CLI.
Familiarity with Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Soft Skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
