Job Description - Social and Community Manager: JioBlast

Description

JioBLAST is a joint venture between Jio, RISE Worldwide and the Danish esports company BLAST ApS, officially launched in October 2025. The partnership's goal is to grow and shape the esports industry in India by creating world-class tournaments and competitive entertainment, leveraging Jio's digital ecosystem, BLAST's global esports expertise, and RISE's domestic sports experience.

As the Social Media and Community Manager, you’ll be the voice and pulse of JioBLAST online: driving conversations, fandom, and engagement across creators, gamers, and brands. You’ll craft digital narratives that make people feel something, build online communities that belong, and turn moments into movements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a cohesive social media strategy across all key platforms, aligned with brand campaigns, publisher partnerships, and IPs.
  • Manage daily social content calendars, ensuring timely, consistent, and culturally relevant communication that resonates with youth audiences.
  • Collaborate with creators, internal teams, and agencies to ideate and deliver engaging social activations, short-form videos, and real-time coverage during live events or tournaments.
  • Build and lead the JioBLAST community ecosystem. Act as the bridge between the audience and internal teams, bringing community insights into brand and content planning, and driving community-level activations across IPs.
  • Own and maintain the brand voice online, positioning JioBLAST at the center of gaming and youth culture.
  • Track and analyze social performance metrics to measure content impact, engagement, and community sentiment, and share actionable insights with key stakeholders.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Live Operations, Partnerships, and Creative teams to amplify ongoing campaigns, IP launches, and creator collaborations.
  • Align with event and production teams to integrate social storytelling into the overall brand experience before, during, and after live shows.


Requirements
  • This position involves travel as part of the role. Candidates must be willing and able to travel as required.
  • 3–6 years of experience managing social media for youth, gaming, entertainment, or creator-led brands.
  • Proven track record of growing online communities and leading high-engagement social campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of Gen-Z internet culture, meme language, and creator economy.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Hubspot, Meta Suite, YouTube Studio, Discord moderation, and social analytics / listening tools.
  • Excellent copywriting and trendspotting skills; bilingual fluency (English + Hinglish) preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver under tight timelines.
  • Passion for gaming, esports, or pop culture is a major plus.

Experience

  • Experience managing social channels with 100K+ followers and building creator partnerships
  • Exposure to live events or gaming is an advantage.
  • Prior work in start-up, agency, or media house environments preferred.
