Job Description - Software Engineer - iOS

Job Purpose

Responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, and supporting native iOS applications that deliver secure, reliable, and high-quality mobile experiences. Implements application features and technical solutions based on approved designs and requirements, integrates applications with backend services, and resolves technical issues to ensure optimal performance and stability.

Key Result Responsibilities

Develop, test, maintain, and enhance native iOS applications using Swift in accordance with approved technical specifications and coding standards.

Implement application features, user interfaces, and business functionality based on functional and technical requirements.

Integrate iOS applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, databases, and approved third-party libraries.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects, crashes, and functional issues to ensure application stability and reliability.

Optimize application performance, responsiveness, memory utilization, and compatibility across supported iOS devices and operating system versions.

Develop and execute unit tests, resolve testing defects, and support system integration and user acceptance testing activities.

Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality, maintainability, and compliance with established development standards.

Support application build, deployment, version control, and App Store release activities in accordance with established release processes.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, code comments, and application support documentation for ongoing maintenance and enhancements.

Investigate production issues, implement approved fixes, and provide technical support for deployed iOS applications.

Collaborate with product, design, backend, quality assurance, and senior development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. With 4-6 years of native iOS development experience. Travel, airline, or e-commerce app experience is preferred.

Work Experience

Fluent in English Language

Strong proficiency in Swift, including experience with UIKit and/or SwiftUI frameworks.

Experience with REST API integration and implementing the MVVM architectural pattern.

Proficient in using Xcode and Git-based version control workflows.

Experience with unit testing practices and mobile application quality assurance.

Proficient in MS Office.

Knowledge of the Combine framework for reactive programming and asynchronous data handling.

Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes for mobile applications, including Fastlane.

Knowledge of push notifications and deep linking implementation.

Experience developing applications within travel, airline, or e-commerce domains is preferred.
