Job Summary
We seeking a proficient Power BI, Power Automate, and RPA Developer with 6 to 8 years of experience to join a dynamic team supporting UK-based stakeholders. The individual in this role will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence dashboards, automation workflows, and RPA solutions to improve operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and effective collaboration with a distributed team based in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
- Build and optimize data models, datasets, and queries to ensure performance, accuracy, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain Power Automate flows to automate business processes, approvals, and integrations across systems (e.g., SharePoint, Dynamics, Office 365, third-party applications).
- Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA solutions (using tools such as Power Automate Desktop or other RPA platforms) to automate repetitive tasks and processes.
- Collaborate closely with UK-based business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand use cases, and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure data quality and reliability across reports and automations.
- Implement best practices for security, governance, and compliance in Power BI, Power Automate, and RPA solutions.
- Document solution designs, technical specifications, workflows, and operational procedures.
- Provide production support, including monitoring, incident resolution, and performance tuning for existing reports and automations.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) with the UK team and provide regular status updates.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 6 to 8 years of overall experience in BI, automation, or related development roles.
- Proven experience in designing and developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Proficient in DAX, Power Query (M), and data transformation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Power Automate (cloud flows and, preferably, desktop flows) for process automation and system integration.
- Practical experience with RPA development using Power Automate Desktop or other RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Tungsten).
- Proficient in working with data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with UK-based stakeholders, understand requirements, and present solutions clearly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a distributed team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with UK or European clients, including comfort with time zone overlap and remote collaboration.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services related to data and analytics (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse, Databricks).
- Experience implementing row-level security, governance, and deployment pipelines in Power BI.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
- Relevant certifications, such as:
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
- RPA tool certifications (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, etc.)
