More information is available at www.india.whirlpool.in\n\n## The team you will be a part of\n\nThe Material Management team is responsible for inventory audits and maintaining inventory at optimum levels. Develops procedures to enhance the effectiveness of inventory control programs. Coordinates with relevant departments to schedule, audit, and reconcile periodic physical inventories. Oversees incoming shipments of merchandise to ensure that inventory is accurate, updated and provided according to schedules.\n\n## This role in summary\n\nTo plan and execute strategy for import of raw material\n\n## Your responsibilities will include\n\nImports Management\n\nHandle imported raw materials and local plastic parts used in cabinets and liner in refrigerators\n\nCheck and resolve issues related to raw material handling or scheduling at supplier end\n\nManage the import of processes like shipment booking, customs clearance. LC process. \n\nExecute the monthly plan for Buyer management (Managing logistics for internal parts used for making refrigerator)\n\nRecommend to higher management for inputs on transportation and logistics and hold independent decisions for local suppliers\n\nMaterial availability\n\nEnsure timely delivery of raw material\n\nForecast and ensure adequate availability of raw material\n\nMonitor, schedule and plan issues related to manpower, machine or material\n\nForecast and schedule future orders as per the forecast plan released by Planning department\n\nWCM ( Word Class Manufacturing)\n\nMaintain and manage critical spares\n\nMaintain an online checklist for WCM adherence\n\nInventory Management\n\nPlan the budget for inventory control and do adjustment with changing plan\n\nEnvironment, Health, Safety and Quality Issues\n\nInform the concerned authority and the reporting manager about any issues and concerns detected. \n\nAccountable for any complaints registered with self regarding the same, if any. \n\nNetworking\n\nExternal:\n\n1\\. Maintain healthy relations with suppliers/vendors through regular interactions\n\n \nInternal:\n\n2\\.
