Key Responsibilities

• Packaging Benchmarking, exploring various packaging formats


• Establishing Primary packaging compatibility with the product, basis analysis of product sensitivity 


• Testing of Primary, Secondary & Tertiary Packaging: Dimensional parameters, Functional Parameters, Quality parameters, Dispensing Parameters


• Responsible for Designing & Development of Packaging for New Products Developments &

     Promotional packs as per market Requirement.

• Revamping of packaging for continuous improvements in aesthetic packaging designs.


• Responsible for development of layouts of blister/strips for R&D, SU and EB batches.


• End to end Documentation for all projects.


• Resolution through technical support for root cause analysis of market complaints related to packaging.


• Reviewing and resolving packaging issues with factories and packaging vendor


• Conducting line trials at all manufacturing locations for new development.


• Artwork approvals for all SKU’s – Shade cards and Digital proofing


• Developing KLD's and maintaining accurate specifications & Bill of Materials for packaging materials.

• Alternate Vendor Development.

CompetenciesRequired:                                                                                                                                                                                           

Technical Competencies

• Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging from IIP or equivalent Degree

• Graduate degree in any science stream


• Technical Competencies like understanding of packaging MOC in rigids/ flexibles/ carton/ labels/ cans/ glass etc.


• Knowledge of testing standards


• Ability of trouble shooting packaging related issues finding the correct root cause


• Knowledge of printing processes


• Understanding of Layouts/ KLDs


• Driving sustainability projects


• Innovator analysis/ Risk mitigation etc.

Behavioral Competencies

• Supervisory skills, communication skills, decision making skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills etc.

• Basic communication skills for cross functional collaboration with marketing, purchase and various stake holders and vendor


• Identifying and resolving packaging related issues and making decisions where ever required

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification –

• Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging from IIP or equivalent Degree

• Graduate degree in any science stream

Experience –

Tenure:  5+ Years
