Job Description - Structural Topsides Principal Engineer
Purpose
The Principal Engineer's purpose is to deliver projects that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability, contributing to the organization's strategic objectives and long-term success.
Responsibilities
You utilize your technical expertise to develop safe and quality solutions in support of projects and discipline requirements without guidance.
You ensure successful resolution of complex technical issues to meet projects and discipline deliverables.
You engage with peers across Regional Centers to promote knowledge sharing and act as a consultant and mentor to less experienced engineers within the discipline to ensure knowledge transfer, product memory, and application of best practices.
You work in conjunction with Discipline Manager, Discipline Leads and engineering staff to seek continuous improvement in both quality and efficiency of the work.
You improve and promote continuously your technical knowledge and capabilities by staying abreast of the latest industry developments, including internal technology readiness and ensuring that lessons learnt are effectively captured from the fleet, projects and technology.
You may act as Discipline Lead for assigned scope of work and/or may be designated as a Technical Expert (TE) and/or Engineering Method Authority.
Education
Engineer Diploma in relevant discipline
Experience
More than 25 years experience in Oil & Gas Industry
