Could you be the full-time Sub-System Planning Manager in Bangalore  we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project planning and coordination expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and proactive teammates.

You’ll play a key role in driving the animation and coordination of interfaces between Train Level and Sub-Systems, ensuring efficient time management and supporting critical decision-making to achieve on-time delivery (OTD) performance. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across tendering, project execution, and program management, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll specifically take care of creating and managing detailed schedules for tenders and projects, but also ensure compliance with contractual requirements and facilitate stakeholder alignment.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Creating detailed tender schedules based on internal standards, gap analysis, and bid strategies.

  • Defining tender preparation schedules and monitoring progress until submission.

  • Identifying critical paths and risks in development schedules, proposing optimization and mitigation actions.

  • Managing Sub-System planning, including critical paths and physical progress.

  • Coordinating all sites contributing to Sub-System development.

  • Alerting stakeholders to deviations and contributing to risk control.

  • Ensuring compliance with project strategy and contractual commitments.

  • Providing stakeholders with a clear vision of schedule critical paths and monitoring them effectively.

  • Driving consistency and alignment across internal and external stakeholders through regular sessions.

  • Delivering Physical Progress KPIs and contributing to Earned Value Management.

  • Promoting best practices and mentoring team members to foster continuous improvement.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.

  • Experience in project management and engineering.

  • Understanding of internal processes, including Tenders, Projects, Engineering, Industrial, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Quality.

  • Proficiency in project scheduling and scheduling tools.

  • 6-8 years of experience in roles such as PrPM, SSM, Planning Manager, Project Operation Planning Manager, Industrial Planner, or Construction Planner.

  • Experience in heavy industry or large projects; knowledge of railway products and systems is a plus.

  • Fluency in English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in an international, multicultural environment.

  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel and scheduling software like MS Project, Primavera, ODY.C, or Agile.

  • Strong organizational skills, a sense of anticipation, and the ability to manage conflicts and multitask effectively.

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from monotonous daily routines.

  • Work with cutting-edge standards for rail systems planning.

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and supportive colleagues.

  • Contribute to innovative projects that shape sustainable mobility.

  • Utilise our dynamic and inclusive working environment.

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.

  • Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning programs.

  • Progress towards leadership roles in project or program management.

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
