About the Opportunity
A rapidly expanding healthcare group in India, we're building high-impact oncology care hubs focused on precision surgery, multidisciplinary tumor boards, and patient-centric cancer outcomes. Our Surgical Oncology teams work alongside medical oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists to deliver cutting-edge, stage-appropriate interventions—from minimally invasive resections to complex reconstructive procedures—across major cancer types including breast, GI, thoracic, and head & neck. Role & Responsibilities



  • Perform complex oncologic surgeries including radical resections, lymph node dissections, and reconstructive procedures with clear intent for curative or palliative outcomes.

  • Lead or actively participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings to align surgical strategy with systemic and radiation oncology plans.

  • Ensure adherence to NCCN/ESMO guidelines, oncologic margins protocols, and evidence-based staging/treatment pathways.

  • Collaborate with anesthesiology, ICU, and palliative care teams for perioperative optimization and post-op recovery planning.

  • Contribute to clinical audits, surgical outcome tracking, and institutional benchmarking to improve survival and quality-of-life metrics.

  • Mentor residents and fellows in surgical techniques, oncologic principles, and intraoperative decision-making under high-stakes conditions.


Skills & Qualifications



  • Must-Have

  • DNB/MD/DM in Surgical Oncology

  • Active NMC Registration

  • Proven experience in GI oncology, breast cancer surgery, or thoracic oncology

  • Expertise in laparoscopic/robotic-assisted oncologic procedures

  • Familiarity with sentinel lymph node biopsy, frozen section analysis, and oncoplastic techniques

  • Proficiency in tumor board documentation and TNM staging systems

  • Ability to interpret radiological imaging (CT, MRI, PET-CT) for surgical planning

  • Experience with neoadjuvant/adjuvant therapy sequencing



  • Preferred

  • Fellowship training in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) or Head & Neck Oncology

  • Publications or research experience in surgical oncology outcomes

  • Working knowledge of cancer registry software or EHRs like eHospital, MOSAIQ
