Could you be the full-time System Engineer - Traction in Hyderabad we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in designing and delivering sustainable and efficient train systems that shape the future of mobility. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Certification & Validation, TSS Team, and Participating Units), ensure coordination on interfaces and performance, and support technical meetings with customers to provide solutions and clarity.

You’ll specifically take care of defining the train system architecture and operational modes while ensuring compatibility across subsystems, but also perform verification and validation activities to ensure optimal train integration.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Performing transverse requirement allocations to various subsystems in close collaboration with specialists

  • Developing requirements based on reference and applicable documents

  • Defining the train system architecture, operational modes, and functionalities

  • Performing train system FMECA in coordination with the RAMS team

  • Ensuring consistency and compatibility between all subsystem specifications

  • Writing subsystem specifications and architecture descriptions

  • Defining and performing train verification strategies

  • Writing train-level test specifications

  • Providing technical support during train revenue service

  • Reporting at both project and metier levels and supporting risk mitigation plans

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field

  • 10 years of experience or understanding of system architecture design and integration

  • Knowledge of RAMS principles and FMECA processes

  • Familiarity with technical specification writing and requirement development

  • A certification in systems engineering or a related field

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards senior engineering or leadership roles

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
